Meadowdale Beach Hike – This is a 2.5 mile roundtrip hike suitable for all ages, though the hike back to the parking lot is mostly uphill and tiring for little ones. The trail is not suitable for strollers, so bring/borrow a carrier or child backpack frame if necessary. Make sure to wear comfortable tennis shoes and water to drink. If it has rained recently, plan for muddy spots just in case. The trail ends at a sandy beach, so if you have time and want to stay and play for awhile, bring any necessary gear in a backpack. There is a port-a-potty in the parking lot and one down near the beach. Google “Meadowdale County Park” for driving directions. The parking lot holds about 30 cars, so if you can’t find parking, you can park on nearby neighborhood streets. Questions? Email Abby Grove: firstname.lastname@example.org.
