WHO WE ARE

OUR STORY

Holy Trinity Edmonds is an Anglican community in Edmonds, Washington

We opened our doors for worship services in the Fall of 2014.  We are unique in the sense that we partnered with a a local congregation that is not Anglican but is focused on building the Kingdom of God in our city and they helped us to start HTE.  We are working under the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA), and began the church under the authority of Bishop Todd Hunter and the Diocese of Churches for the Sake of Others (C4SO).  Our Pastor, Ryan Brotherton, was ordained an Anglican Priest in January 2015. After getting settled as a church plant and growing the foundations that will help us in the future we were received into our local diocese, Cascadia, under the authority of Bishop Kevin Allen in September of 2015. In the Summer of 2017 we moved from a shared worship space at North Sound Church to our current location at 657 Daley St. in Edmonds.

Holy Trinity Edmonds – is Anglican at its roots. Our liturgy (order and expression of worship) offers a unique blend of ancient and future that captures the imagination, and we actively draw from the best of our ancient faith in ways designed to reach today’s culture with the Gospel.
Anglican Christianity isBiblical, centered on a commitment to the Bible as God’s Word to us, the truth that guides our lives. Unified through being connected with Christians the world over for 2000 years that believe in salvation through Christ alone. In this way, Anglicanism is part of a global Christian faith, or, as expressed in the Nicene Creed: “the one holy catholic and apostolic church.” Historic, rooted in the earliest Christian church and upholds the teaching, promises and worship of Jesus, His apostles and the “priesthood of all believers.” (I Peter 2:9, NIV)

WHO WE DESIRE TO BE

We desire to see Holy Trinity Edmonds grow up as a people who are committed to being humble and vulnerable with God, ourselves, and each other. We envision a community of people where kind honesty is valued and practiced. Humility, vulnerability, and telling the kind truth are the foundational pieces of the culture we are seeking to develop together. We hope that even when things get messy and people disagree with one another, we can be a group of folks who are united in Christ and find our unity and common bond in Him by the power of the Holy Spirit. We seek to be growing in these things for the sake of the Gospel of Jesus, for the glory of God, for the abundance of life, and for the sake of others. From this kind of culture we hope to live out our values.

OUR VALUES

REFLECTION
We slow down and reflect as we pay attention to God, ourselves, and others. Reflection is not just an act but a way of being.
RECOGNITION
As we reflect we ask the Holy Spirit to help us recognize where and how God is already at work in and around us. In our recognition we seek to join our lives with Christ in living more fully the abundant life he came to give.
REVITALIZATION
As we join in the work that God is doing we find ourselves revitalized by the power of the Holy Spirit as we participate in the goodness of God and his Kingdom.
