Children's Ministry

At Holy Trinity Edmonds we value children and joyfully welcome them in our worship services.

We believe they have much to contribute to the life of the church
and weencourage them to participate alongside their families in worship.
We desire to foster asense of love and wonder for God’s word and his church in our children, because they too are created in God’s image and can know and love Jesus in a meaningful way.

Our children’s programs are designed to help these little ones understand that they are full
members of the body of Christ and valued as a part of our church family.
In 2025, 40 children participated regularly in HTE’s children’s ministries,
supported by15 monthly volunteers and 15 quarterly volunteers.

On Saturdays, K-3rd grade children gathered for their liturgy using a modified Godly Play model, and 4-5th grade children met for a Bible overview study and Gospel of Mark study,
as well as Bible memorization.

On Sundays, all K-5th grade children met for children’s liturgy together.
Every week during worship, children enjoyed working with activity boxes and books
from the shelf in the lobby, helping them participate in worship more quietly.
Several generous people responded to a request for specific books
to add to our children’s library--thank you!
We now have a wonderful variety of really good books available during worship.

In the month of August, children’s liturgy volunteers had a break from teaching as
children participated in worship with their families.
Children enjoyed HTE bingo, crosswords, and other activities,
engaging with the liturgy at an age-appropriate level.

In 2025 we furthered our efforts to ensure the safety of our children,
requiring background checks and child safety training
through our diocesan provider, Ministry Safe.
All volunteers are required to complete this training.

During Wednesday services in Advent, children gathered to practice a Christmas Nativity Play
and work together on Christmas crafts
while their parents gathered upstairs for worship and teaching.
Since winters are too cold and dark to play outside,
each Saturday night after dinner, children enjoyed making a variety of crafts in the
conference room each week, including a 12th Night Party pinata!

If you’d like to join the children’s ministries team in the new year, we welcome your involvement! Contact Jill Bell at jill@holytrinityedmonds.com

HTE Global Mission Report

Diocese of Pyay in the Anglican Province of Myanmar
As Holy Trinity Edmonds was blessed by the Lord with purchasing our own church building in 2025, our global mission partner the Diocese of Pyay was also blessed with their new diocesan office building. HTE send proceeds from our annual rummage sale to support Pyay with their diocesan building project. The new building was completed and dedicated in December 2025. HTE also sends annual support for the Pyay village evangelism workers who spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the remote villages in the diocese. There were over a dozen new believers who came to the Lord in 2025. Thank you HTE, for the continued support to Pyay and their mission works during the past year. May the Lord strengthen this global partnership for many more years.
